Even though Zedd’s Dead released this EP a few days ago now, it is one of those albums that needs a good amount of listen time before it really begins to dawn on you. The opening track “Demons” is a haunting number, which I hear samples a lot of lines from actual horror films. “Playa” has a trappy beat, and is really stripped down. My favourite track on the EP would have to be “Trouble”. Funky, and infused with piano and deep, dirty synths, I could tell this gem was an winner from the first few bars.
